Belts may wear and break over time. A belt that becomes worn may slip or also become so slack that it may not function correctly. Hoses may weaken and split after long years of use or when exposed to harsh temperatures. Even though belts & hoses last longer than 25 years ago they still need to be inspected twice yearly.
We may not always recommend hose replacement during cooling system repairs for theses reasons. 1) The high cost of a complete system replacement 2) Hoses fail far less often the radiators on today’s automobile. We can advise of all options and recommend a repair plan for your specific needs.
